Fun music. Break a leg kiddo!
Love your music Penny. Hope to see you out playing around the U.P. soon.
I saw you at a bar in Nashville in 1999 or 2000. You were an inspiration and I bought a CD that has a 1 cent "Penny" in the CD jewel. I loved your music then, have listened to it since and enjoy hearing your voice and imagining your smile ever since. I recently heard you are a Yooper, and I love the Keewenaw. I have vacationed there, and own a place west of the UP in Northern MN. I looked at the calendar of where you play and have been to each location in the western & upper penninsula. Would LOVE to hear and see you again some 20 years later. I visit when possible and am on Lake Superior or in the woods of the UP when ever I;m there. You are an inspiration & am glad that I knew you back in the day, and more importantly - that you have MADE IT since the low key, bar-talk from back in the late 90's. Way to go Penny - I am so happy for you & look forward to see you in the UP or perhaps Madeline Island at Tom's Burned Down Cafe near Bayfield. Check it out - I know Tom himself would welcome you to play, and guaruanteed you'd have an audience - at least me ! Take Care & hope to see you and more importantly - HEAR you soon ! - Jeff Unger
Hey Penny, Thanks for the gifts! We love your music... we're listening as we type! Safe travels and Happy Holidays.
Hey Penny: Great meeting you today on our little flight from Escanaba. Love your music and look forward to hearing the rest of your story! Be well, Pete
I listen to your songs at night and they rock me to sleep! You are one awesome singer!
Penny, Loved chatting with you and hearing your stories on our flight from Vegas to Baltimore. Very captivating... Music sounds wonderful. Good luck to you in all your endeavors! God Bless You!
Peggy Durfey sent me your link to check you out. Good stuff! Way back in 1980, I was up in Calumet to stay overnight at the Italian Hall with the cast of "Motherload" (a play that opened in the summer of 80 at the attic theatre in downtown Detroit) I'm old but I'm still writing and producing and performing. Just getting immersed in research of Peggy's family so I'm going to check out Silverton, Colorado and Manco. She thought if I heard you I might ask you to collaborate on this project. Let me know how that sounds to you. I'm on Facebook as Phil Esser. Have posted a lot of previous musical stuff on my timeline. Friend me and check it out.
Hi, Penny I am so excited for you getting the gigs back home in UP! I am waiting not so patiently for your next CD. Are you still flying with Southwest? I retired from US Airways and have moved back to the small town in Southern Nevada where my family is, Boulder City. Do you ever get out this way? I have a musician friend I'd like you to meet. His name is Phil Marcus Esser and he is from close to your old neck of the woods in Michigan. He played folk with most of the greats of the 60's and is a really awesome person. He is doing production work now, and I am working with him on a documentary on the pioneer women in my own family. We are heading to Silverton, Colorado to the little mining town my mother's family is from. I thought of the work you are doing and thought he could be a great collaborator. He is full of tons of knowledge and a fantastic person and musician. Call me when you get a chance at my new cell number, 702-337-6737. Abundant Blessings, Peggy
Hello Penny, met you on a flight from TPA to HOU, and commented on your "Martin" guitar ID lanyard. You gave me your Lucky Penny Records card and I've been listening to your songs this morning. Really enjoyed meeting and talking to you last evening at the Elks. I took some time and listened to your songs today and I was really impressed. Hey Penny, Just catching up with your site and trying to see where I might catch a performance. You seem to be flying, learning and writing but are you performing anywhere these days in the Phoenix valley? Will keep touching base with your site in hopes to catch your performance sometime soon. Remember Raimondo from the Farmer's Market? He is the one that initially told me about you. I am performing at his place these days every Friday evening. Old statndards, Lounge Lizard/Jazz (& Motown) with just a touch of Country stuff !! Rick

Real nice meeting you last night on the flight from HOU to PHX. The list of songs I gave you are pretty good to the venues you are playing. The Frog Kissin' version by Chet Atkins is the only really good one - it's tough to find, I believe it's on an album called "Chet & Friends". You have a great voice - and a very nice way about you, never give up - follow your dreams and heart - keep your eye on the prize - and it won't let you down. All the best, Tom Lewis

I go there 4-5 times each year and think about how good you were every time I step in the door. I've googled you over the years to no avail but tonight decided to do it again and hit upon your new website. You look better with age! Hope all is well and wish you the best.
Penny, I love your voice! I know that with me living up here in Washington I might never be able to hear you in person but you are one lady I would buy a ticket to come and listen to. Dawn

It was also an added bonus hearing/seeing Mary Hoffman & Darin Mahoney as well and to learn that you and Darin go way back. What a small world. I am sorry I couldn’t stay to hear you set after your on air performance but I hope to get the Heart & Soul tonight to hear a full set. You are a real pro and I have no doubt you will bend ears and turn heads where ever you go. Best of luck. Rick Sabral, Phoenix, AZ

My family and I saw you at Heart and Soul Cafe. Wow! Not only are you a great musician, but also a great entertainer. The kids and I have been listening to the CD in the truck ever since. I regret we were giving you requests to play. Your originals are awsome. I'll keep my eye on the website for your next venue.

You Go Girl! So happy to see your success! Looking forward to a "West Coast appearance"! Thank you for passing thru my life, hope you pass thru again sometime..... Dan
That's great you finally got some clear blue skies. I heard you got about 4 feet of snow, up there in them White Mountains. I've been a rounder and a rambler much too long.
Wow, a european tour in our future.....I'm gonna start packing now. I think that skiing is gonna be great as soon as they can get the road cleaned up enough to open. I keep checking for the podcast of your appearance on Eric's show to post on the Arizona Music Cafe website. www.azmusiccafe.com. I'm sure it will be up soon. It's a beautiful "Arizona morning..right here underneath the clear blue skies".
Hey Shawna, Wow... I heard ya'll have about 5 to 6 feet of snow. I've seen it like that once up there in Show Low.. How Cool. Soon as I get to AZ, I'll be fixin' to go skiing! I heard that Sunrise was closed. Too much snow! Good news on the C.D.'s! I'm headed to Denver tomorrow, so hopefully I can sell a bunch on the road. I didn't make it to the writer's show. Did meet with a bunch of folks. Productive week, and I made soup. Roasted garlic cauliflower soup and Brown Rice & Asparagus Soup. How's that!! Good thing we own our own shovel's and washer & dryers, and it's a good thing I've got a gun! P.S. Checked out the website traffic, and I've been getting hits from Italy, Netherlands and Japan. The most hits from Italy. Guess we'll have to go!
Hey Girl: How are things going at home in Nashville? Did you make it out to Debbie's writers show? I think you were meeting with your producer, Alan O'Bryant, yesterday or today? I sold a few CD's this week, well I took the cash...the CD sells itself....I'm hearing great feedback about it....I miss you, come back to Arizona soon. The snow has not stopped here...a little cabin fever has set in at our house, but we are keeping the fire stoked, and a pot of beans on the stove....I opened the back door this evening and there was a shovel sitting there against the porch rail....so I made myself useful and shoveled the path from the house to the barn....I think I can skip the gym today.....good thing we are such hardworkers all this clothes folding and shoveling can wear a girl out......"it's a good thing I ain't got a gun"
Hi Shawna, just here in Nashville eating rotisserie chicken and folding clothes.
Hey Penny: What are you up to this week? It's snowing here in Show Low and we are getting ready for a week of storms....
Hey Nashville, How are you doin? Nice website and love your latest CD. Warm regards, Valley Vic
I met you on the crew bus going to the airport lthis past Wednesday & bought your album after chatting with you, remember? Just wanted you to know I love the album and your music. Keep up the good work...hope to catch you at a show in the Phoenix area someday soon.
They didn't have cool stuff like that when I was a kid
orange, green and red...with two microphones so you and a friend (kylie) can sing together with the music...
Wow. What color is his fisher price tape player. It's so amazing to hear what songs the kids like. Kylie's favorite song is L.A. International Airport. She say's she likes the way the banjo starts off the song. I told her that when I was her age (8), L.A. International Airport was my favorite song too.
I just wanted you to know...that Sawyer sings This Ole Heart all the way through on his little fisher price tape player...
webpage is looking better and better each day...
